A Community of Friends is a nonprofit developer founded in 1988 that creates permanent supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness and individuals with mental illness. Operating primarily in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties, ACOF has developed more than 2,600 units across 50 properties and currently manages 43 buildings. The organization pairs housing with on-site supportive services delivered through partnerships with community-based agencies, enabling residents to access mental health treatment, case management, and other services alongside stable housing. ACOF's portfolio spans diverse neighborhoods including Santa Monica, Hollywood, Koreatown, South Los Angeles, and Fullerton.
