CAHEC

CAHEC (Community Affordable Housing Equity Corporation) is a nonprofit community development organization headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, that specializes in affordable housing investment, tax credit syndication, and community revitalization across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic United States. Founded in 1992, CAHEC partners with developers, investors, and public agencies to provide equity capital and structured financing for the acquisition, construction, preservation, and rehabilitation of income-restricted multifamily housing and related community assets. Its core products include Low Income Housing Tax Credits, historic and New Markets Tax Credits, and other equity and debt capital solutions.

CAHEC also offers loan programs, property management services, and asset management oversight through its affiliated entities. Its property management division oversees hundreds of affordable rental communities with more than 15,000 homes, and its syndication activities have supported thousands of units of affordable housing in a multi-state footprint.
