About Us
The Dallas Housing Finance Corporation (DHFC) is a public nonprofit housing finance organization created by the City of Dallas in 1984. The organization issues tax-exempt private activity bonds to support the acquisition, construction, and substantial rehabilitation of multifamily housing.
DHFC also provides financing support for single-family affordable housing developments, single-family mortgage programs, and gap funding for affordable multifamily projects located within the city of Dallas. Its activities are focused on facilitating the development and preservation of housing that meets affordability and accessibility standards for local residents.
Operating exclusively within Dallas, DHFC works in partnership with public and private stakeholders to expand the supply of affordable housing and support long-term housing stability across the city.
