Frolic is a certified B Corporation developer of cooperative housing communities in high-cost markets. Founded by MIT Center for Real Estate alumni, the company converts single-family lots into pocket neighborhoods of 6-20 homes designed to make homeownership accessible to first-time buyers with down payments of $5,000 to $30,000. Each community features shared spaces alongside private homes and incorporates sustainable design and financing structures that build equity while maintaining long-term affordability. Frolic completed its flagship project in Seattle and currently operates 5 active projects with over 48 additional projects in development across Washington and California.
