About Us
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is a state agency that provides financial resources and technical assistance to support economic development, workforce housing, and community development initiatives across Georgia. The agency works with local governments, authorities, state agencies, and nonprofit organizations to address community needs and advance locally driven development strategies.
DCA administers a range of programs, including Community Development Block Grants, affordable housing tax credits, rental assistance, first-time homebuyer programs, Downtown Development initiatives, and planning and quality growth programs. Through these efforts, the agency supports housing production and preservation, infrastructure investment, and community revitalization throughout the state.
