Founded in 1958, Horning is a real estate firm in the national capital region focused on development and property management. The company was founded by brothers and native Washingtonians Joseph (Joe) and Larry Horning, and is rooted in values of service, empowerment, collaboration, and integrity. Horning serves residential and commercial customers and works with community partners across the neighborhoods it operates in.
Over more than 65 years, Horning has worked in almost every ward in the District of Columbia and in neighborhoods outside the Capital Beltway. Its work includes apartment and retail development totaling 4,800 housing units and 450,000 square feet of retail. Joe Horning has recently passed.
