MassHousing is an independent state housing finance agency created in 1966 to provide financing for affordable homeownership and rental housing across Massachusetts. The agency is financially self-sustaining and serves low- and moderate-income homebuyers, homeowners, and developers engaged in building or preserving rental housing. Since inception, MassHousing has deployed more than $30 billion to support homeownership and rental housing opportunities statewide.
