Montgomery County is a county government serving residents and businesses in southeastern Pennsylvania. The county employs approximately 2,400 people and delivers a broad range of public services, including social services, economic and workforce development, public safety, court administration, transportation infrastructure, and parks and recreation.
Social services are provided and coordinated through multiple departments, including Children and Youth, Developmental Disabilities, and Aging and Adult Services. The county also oversees public safety functions, emergency dispatch, and court services, and supports employee training and community programs.
Montgomery County maintains approximately 75 miles of roads and 131 bridges, has developed about 100 miles of multi-use trails, and manages seven county parks and five historic sites. The county is served by a regional public transportation network and supports a diverse mix of residential, commercial, recreational, and cultural activities across its communities.
