About Us

The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) is a nonprofit housing finance organization created in 1974 through a partnership between the City of New York and leading commercial banks to restore and reinvest in disinvested neighborhoods. Today, CPC is a consistent source of capital for underserved housing markets across New York City and New York State.

Working closely with government agencies, community organizations, banks, and institutional investors, CPC provides customized financing solutions to housing providers. To date, CPC has financed more than 225,000 affordable housing units and deployed approximately $14.4 billion in public and private capital, supporting housing for low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
