Role Summary
The Account Specialist - AVP in Transaction Management will be responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the lending lifecycle including monthly advance servicing, project funding, workflow management, and quality control. The team member will be accountable for operational oversight of servicing transactions to ensure all internal and external requirements are met.
What You'll Do
- Manage and service an active portfolio of multifamily rental construction transactions including loans, bonds, and letters of credit
- Review and approve financial transactions and project maintenance tasks, providing troubleshooting support to team, clients, and internal parties
- Work with clients, governmental agencies, fiscal agents, and external parties on monthly deal disbursement and approval processes
- Review disbursement requests, inspection reports, title updates, and manage flow of funds mechanics to meet funding deadlines
- Review deal summaries, legal documents, and construction budgets to ensure risk profile and deal structure accuracy across all systems
- Monitor ongoing portfolio updates including extensions, modifications, and other deal events
- Handle data requests from internal teams, regulators, clients, and third parties
- Coordinate actions internally with Asset Managers, Construction Management, Risk, and Operations
- Assist with creation of processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and implementation of transaction management
- Aid in design and implementation of technology including testing and rollout
- Ensure quality of data, controls, and processes meet internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in projects to enhance performance and efficiency
- Assess risk appropriately when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets through compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of previous experience servicing affordable multifamily loans
- Portfolio or account management experience
- Knowledge of the lending lifecycle
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work well under tight deadlines and manage priorities with minimal management follow-up
- High proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft-based programs
- Ability to learn new systems and applications quickly
- Quantitative skills and analytical abilities
- Initiative, team player mentality, and ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial real estate legal documentation and construction budgets
- Tableau or visualization tool familiarity
- Experience with Loan IQ, Built, transaction capture tools, or similar systems
- Process improvement experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Compensation
$79,120–$118,680
