The organization originates and acquires long-term mortgages and makes long-term equity investments in partnership with local, regional, and national stakeholders.
Founded in 1998, CDT focuses on preserving long-term housing affordability and supporting stable housing outcomes in low- and moderate-income communities. Its activities are centered on financing and ownership structures that maintain affordability over time.
CDT has deployed approximately $3.6 billion in debt and equity capital in affordable housing properties across 45 states and regions. Its portfolio includes more than 38,000 housing units, serving over 140,000 residents nationwide.
