Role Summary
Volunteers of America Texas is seeking a Vice President of Housing Management based in Euless, Texas. The role leads regional property management operations and oversees multi-site housing teams to ensure operational standards, property performance, and compliance requirements are met.
The Vice President provides leadership to Regional Managers and on-site teams, oversees housing project responsibilities tied to grant, debt, and equity programs, and manages relationships with third-party clients. The role also participates in operational reviews, supports strategies for underperforming assets, and ensures consistent service quality across properties.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Regional Managers and on-site teams to meet performance benchmarks and operational standards, and conduct site visits to assess property conditions and initiative implementation.
- Streamline processes and enforce operational expectations, reviewing practices to ensure adherence to company policies.
- Ensure housing project responsibilities related to grant, debt, and equity programs and functions, such as health and safety services, ADA compliance, and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements, are met.
- Serve as a secondary third-party client liaison and conduct regular reviews and discussions regarding financial performance and asset strategies.
- Participate in site visits and operational calls to address underperforming assets and develop actionable solutions.
- Drive initiatives to improve tenant retention and satisfaction and resolve escalated tenant issues.
- Lead weekly meetings with direct reports focused on strategic goals and performance management.
- Implement training programs to enhance team skills and ensure LMS compliance.
- Oversee construction management activities, including preparing and reviewing contracts and work specifications related to facility repairs and ensuring compliance with regulations and building codes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Minimum of 10 years of property management leadership experience, including at least 4 years in multi-site senior leadership.
- Valid Texas driver’s license, clear motor vehicle record, and ability to be insured.
