Role Summary

The Senior Development & Finance Manager will support the underwriting, capital structuring, and execution of affordable housing and community development projects. This role contributes to advancing real estate development projects through the full lifecycle, including financial feasibility analysis, capital stack structuring, due diligence coordination, and project execution from acquisition through construction and stabilization. This is an 8–12 month contract-to-permanent opportunity designed for a professional seeking long-term growth within a mission-driven development firm.

What You'll Do

Assist with structuring complex capital stacks including LIHTC equity, NMTC financing, CDFI loans, construction financing, and grants
Support financial modeling and underwriting across the development pipeline
Prepare sources and uses statements, development budgets, and investment summaries
Assist in managing development projects from acquisition through construction and stabilization
Coordinate with consultants, lenders, investors, and project stakeholders
Support due diligence, third-party reports, and closing processes
Assist with preparation of financing applications, RFP submissions, and investor packages
Research funding sources aligned with affordable housing and community development initiatives
Contribute to expansion of the development pipeline across target markets

Required Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in real estate development, real estate finance, affordable housing, investment analysis, or related field
Strong financial modeling, Excel, and underwriting skills
Understanding of real estate development process from concept through completion
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development environment

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to LIHTC, NMTC, CDFI financing, or layered capital stacks
Familiarity with public-private partnerships and community development financing tools
