Role Summary
The Impact Finance AH Project Manager negotiates, structures, underwrites, and closes debt and equity investments that utilize Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) in market areas serviced by U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance. This position manages relationships with customers and internal Production and Syndications Business Development Officers while coordinating with third-party professionals and internal teams to close lending opportunities and support the Bank's investments.
What You'll Do
- Negotiate, structure, underwrite, and close debt and equity investments utilizing LIHTC
- Manage relationships with customers and internal Production and Syndications Business Development Officers in negotiating terms of construction lending and equity investments
- Engage third-party professionals in coordinating the drafting, collection, and review of documents and financial projections necessary to close lending opportunities
- Coordinate with internal employee teams in preparing and funding initial closing funds
- Transition closed loans to portfolio management and asset/fund management departments for ongoing maintenance and management
- Participate in the establishment of policies and procedures necessary for accomplishing the group's tasks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and six or more years of related experience, OR MBA/JD with three or more years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of risk assessment and evaluating construction and permanent loan requests and basic knowledge of evaluating targeted returns from investments
- Experience with construction finance, legal documentation and requirements, real estate property management, and accounting
- Strong systems knowledge including appraisal ordering and review, Precision Lender, and nCino credit package approvals
- General real estate background
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workflow and communicate deliverable timelines clearly in verbal and written communication
Compensation
$124,355–$146,300
